I came accross Penn Foster Career School on the internet today when I browsed online on web design schools. Well I have decided to cross out my plan on going to Art Institute of Pittsburg online since it would cost me $15000 (one year studey) to get a diploma on web design. My husband thinks that costs too much. So I started looking for a more affordable online school to learn web design. This is when I found Penn Foster. I do not know how good this place is. The cost is a lot more affordable. The career diploma program (they say should be completed in less than 9 months) costs $875 (if I pay in full) – $900 (with payment installments). They also have a certificate program that costs about the same and they say should be completed in another 9 months. Since I have no background in web design whatsoever, I might take the career diploma program first. If it turns out this isn’t something I want, at least I won’t feel like flushing 15 grand down the drain. The thing is, I am not sure how good Penn Foster is. So if anyone is currently or was enrolled in the school, please let me know what you think of the school.
I checked with local colleges today to see if they have any web design courses offered online. None offers online courses on web design. That’s kind of ironic isn’t it. Anyways.
I have talked to my husband and he said that he’s cool with the 900 tuition. Lot cheaper he said.
I have contacted Penn Foster to ask for more information to be sent to me. We’ll see.
